Have you ever wanted to stop what you are doing, because it is very difficult and takes up to much time? I wish God
would release me from going forward with our issues with the Florida Department of Agriculture. When I Pray about this, God
reminds me that it is not all about me, but all about the thousands of hungry children and their families that have been affected
by these new contracts. Yes, it is difficult to try to get your concerns treated fairly when our government officials are
involved and have decided they are not going to listen or do anything about their decision in reference to the Commodities
Contracts. I personally think it has nothing to do with right, wrong or the many hungry people, but, that they made a decision
and if they back off, it may make them look bad.
Who really cares who is right or who is wrong? We should only
be worried about getting this food to the hungry people of Florida. All we ever wanted is the RFP's for the commodity
contracts to be fair to all bidders, small or large hunger relief charities. It is not fair to ask any bidders to have special
insurance ten months in advance, before the hunger relief charities knows if they will receive the contract. The one organization
that won 91% of all the Counties already had this insurance. According to the Department of Agriculture, the first RFP was
only a suggestion and the second RFP, all bidders had to have that special insurance ten months in advance of the contract
date, plus bidders were never told of the change.
Well, I believe God has everything under His control and in
His timing, all things will be made right. Until that day I will continue to try to convince the people in authority to at
least have impartial people look into all my concerns with a fair and open mind.
