WHY IS GOVERNMENT HELPING A MONOPOLY?
We have a food pantry in Florida and have not received any U.S.D.A. Commodities for the past three years. In the previous four years we were receiving USDA Commodities. The Food Bank that receive the contract for USDA Commodities in our County stopped giving commodities to smaller ministries that could not pay for they food they sell. They said they were told by the State they did not have to give us commodities, because all they had to do is make sure they cover their County. This gives them the authority to pick the ministries that can pay and eliminate those that can not pay. I wounder how the State explains that.
Keep up the good work.

Many Small Ministries Food Banks May Close
There are a lot of small ministries that will have to close their doors because of the fees some food banks are charging. It is a shame that the Department of Agriculture is writting their bid forms to help these food banks that are charging fees. I would think that the state would want the food to get to the most hungry people of Florida not organizations that want to make money.
