Did you know that faith-based charities make up over 90% of where you have a live person handing out food to the hungry
people? The average church in the United states is around 75 people and their Pastors have to get an outside job because
the church can not afford to support them. Handling fees of 18 cents a pound costs the food pantry about $7.20 a box
and the smallest of food pantries help at least 100 families a month, which adds up to $720.00 a month for these small churches.
Most food pantries help upto 500 families each month, now you're talking about $3,600.00 per month. The largest churches
are not able to pay this.
What do you think will happen if Second Harvest gets all the control of food for the hungry?
It has never been a good idea for any company to have a monopoly.
Thank You,
