What most people do not realize is that where the rubber hits the road, you will find a faith-based or community charity helping
the needy people of our community. Americans have always come to the rescue of the underserved of their communities.
They volunteer in hospitals, food ministries, hospice, the environment and every other type of charity. When a disaster
hits, the American people forget about their differences and pull together to make a difference in the people’s lives that
have been affected by the disaster. The small, Faith-Based and Community Charities serve more people then most larger and
well established charities. The problem these smaller charities have is they do not have anyone to advocate for them,
so they do not receive their share of support from their communities. The larger charities receive all the support from
the business community, government, grants and local federations.
Florida Association of Hunger Relief Ministries (F.A.H.R.M.) is a federation whose only agenda is to help people that
are in need. They partner with ninety other charities to share resources and man power to meet the challenges of people
that are in need of help. F.A.H.R.M. partners with many different charities that perform many different services
for the underserved.

In future articles we will be sharing stories of real people being helped by people that only want to help other people.
We hope to convince businesses and government to change the way they financially assist charities each year. We
are going to approach the businesses and government with facts to convince them to give a share of their support to the smaller
charities that are doing so much good in their communities.
